I just got the special edition, which includes "Inside the Making of Dr. Strangelove" where production designer Ken Adam recalls Air Force visitors to the set "turning white" when they saw their version of the inside of a B-52. Perhaps the filmakers they got their research from "On Guard"

This movie made me think of Dr. Strangelove too. It would make a nice bonus feature on a Dr. Strangelove DVD.

"The World, the Flesh and the Devil," "Seven Days in May," "On the Beach," "Fail Safe," and "Panic in the Year Zero" - I can dream, can't I?

The US Air Force refused access to one of its B52,s. "Ken Adams found all he needed in technical magazines like Flight...which routinely published minute specifications and illustrations of the latest weapons of mass distruction ."
